Multi-Exposure reseting problem on K20D?

Here is the think, I go into menu and set the Multi Exposure to however many frames I want and then when I go out of it the thing resets, I tried hitting the Auto EV adjust also and it still resets it once I leave the menu.

Am I doing something wrong?

Don't have mind at hand right now but I also found that the K20D won't let me use custom settings with multi-exposure mode. I am forced to go with automatic settings, somehow.
So, as long as I go into a automatic mode and then setup the shot number, and then press the shutter button, it's working. But I can't go back to change any settings. That seems to be "normal".

Not entirely sure about this, but I believe there's a menu item that lets you choose whether you want the camera to calculate the proper exposure, or to use what you set. My advise would be to RTFM

I remember using this feature when I had the K20D - Its in the custom menu and AFAIK you have to be in one of the non-auto (non-green) modes to access it.

Would you please share your findings?

Uh - nevermind my first reply. I had confused Multi-Exposure with Interval Shooting.
