That's where you needed a good bit of salesmanship before getting the 100. That's where you can extol the virtues of the 10D. You could tell her to shoot Raw+JPEG. Then she wouldn't have to do it on everyshot. She could run with the peggers where she felt they were already adequate and pull the Raw file up to adjust/tweak/crop those that needed it.
Maybe it wouldn't meant parking a vehicle for a few weeks or months and putting the gas money to the difference in the two but it woulda been more than reasonable to expect because it is a camera right? and the extra walking or extra sharing a vehicle together coulda been healthy physically or relationally. And beside the shoe leather expense woulda been less than the gas saved. (like my wife would ever go for that)
