K-7 Liveview on ipad options?

Curious, are there any that can be used in the field which don't involve routing it through a laptop?

Thanks in advance

Liveview... as in tethering? Or using the iPad as an external screen?

Just iPad as external screen - liveview on iPad would be so sweet

Eye-Fi is about the only way I could imagine doing it, considering the closed nature of Apple's iOS

That's not liveview though =(. Silly, I can buy a cheap screen for $75 to do it but can't use a $500 device

You can do it with Canikon. Bug them about Pentax support...maybe when hell freezes over.

Does the iPad have any way of connecting to component video outputs or to HDMI?

If yes, then just plug the supplied I-AVC7 cable or an HDMI cable into the K-7 and the other end into your iPad HDMI or AV connecter. LiveView will then be visible on the iPad (presuming the iPad has software capable of receiving and playing video).

pp233-236 of the K7 manual relates.

Yeah, that's one of the really good expensive ones. With iPad not connectable I was thinking of getting this: 7" PORTABLE LCD TFT MONITOR CAR TV FOR REAR CCTV CAMERA | eBay UK. Or just a cheap as chips old watchman from ebay - it's just for focus after all

the Marshall has a peaking (sharpness)Filter mode where it can tell you which areas are in prefect focus - sometimes I use my viewsonic 28" LCD monitor for macro work which admittedly takes a while to get used to.
