Is there something like this for teh iphone? Or is this just another reason for me to go out and buy the Galaxy SII?

Also, would I be able to set it up to take 30 second long exposures every t seconds until it had x number of pictures? I'm really interested in doing some astronomy/star trail shots.

Another example of why to use Android !!!

Of course it exist for iPhone, but you need to pay for it. It's called DSLR.Bot

Else of course you can use it to do star trail shots.
With the camera in manual mode you use the Time Lapse mode (do forget to include the exposition time in the lapse time).
And just wait !

I didn't try it (because shipping to France is not possible) but for this application this wire led could be the best --> Infrared IR Emitter with 3,5mm jack

By the way Galaxy seems to be a great phone...

Yeah, I was ready to buy the Galaxy Friday. Had it in my cart on Amazon then decided to buy the DA L 55-300mm instead, lol. I'll have to check out the iPhone app and try not to like it so that it'd force me to buy a new phone, lol.

Thank-you for a great App!

I had bought a cheap remote off e-bay but it drained battery life like crazy and wasn't very reliable. So I thought I'd give your App a try and I'm really pleased with it.

I really appreciate your effort!

Merci beaucoup!

This is great! I can't wait to go to radio shack now! I was just thinking about building my own cable release too......this is an even better idea!

The ir reciever on the k-7 is upfront right? Does this mean I have to stand off to the side? I vastly prefer working from the rear with live view when on a tripod. And I don't like walking around much. Never used an ir trigger before, so I'm curious why its on the front.
