Android remote to shoot Pentax camera

Didn't know that it is on both sides on the K7...

But on K-x / K-r it's only on the front and it's really not the most comfortable. It would have been better on the back.

Upon closer inspection I see an ir reciever in the back of my k-7. Anyone have a link or copy to the apk?? The link in the original. Thread is gone.

Quick question about the app lepiallou. I haven't had the opportunity to try out your app and build the IR dongle yet, but does your app also support a wired function? In other words, connecting the 3.5mm headphone jack directly to the 2.5mm remote shutter jack?

I'm not even sure this would be possible (or safe), but would be a nice feature if it were.
I will try out your project soon and provide my feedback when I can.

Sorry Nachodog but I have only the K-x... So I am not able to try out if it is possible with a cable.

Considering the output voltage of a jack on the phone it should not be a threat for the camera to use it wired. But as I said I cannot confirm this at the moment.

Hi,

Thank you for the app, is it possible to enhance the application with a sound. It could be nice if you can trigger your camera with Sound like. For example clap, laugh, scream, bang stuff and it will fire your camera!
