dust spot, in view finder

I spotted a spot (half circle) looking through the view finder. It is pretty obvious dot even at f2.8.

I change lenses and it is still there, I check view finder it seem fine. I tried dust removal but it is still there. I open my pictures to see if it shows in the pictures, no.... the dust is not in pictures!

Where the dust could possibly be in this case and how do I remove it?

Thanks for your helps!

Lee

If the spot shows in the viewfinder but not on photos, that sounds like it's on the focus screen or the mirror. I'm not sure the preferred method for cleaning in that case, a rocket blower will take care of dust pretty readily, though, if it is dust.

Rocket blower but if that doesn't work then I wouldn't go further than that. It doesn't affect your photos and therefore does not matter.

Thanks all, it is on the mirror. Remove lens and apply several blows to the mirror and its gone.

Happy again!
