K200 preproduction sample

I have a K200 preproduction sample that has fw 0.20
Do I dare upgrade it to 1.01?

Anyone tried upgrade a sample?

Hello, I used to got preproduction K20D unit from Ebay too. The firmware is 0.xx as yours and it is fully upgradable to 1.xx. I hope your unit is not a very early prototype which might not compatible with retail firmware.

Just wondered why one would purchase preproduction sample, are they enough cheap to worth risking ending up with a practically useless camera?
