My take on ideal DSLR

Yep, still a DSLR so it implies mirror.

In that case, the ideal would be a Canon Eos RT-like system. With today tech it would be excellent Imo. You'll lose light in the VF, as Sony SLT of course.
The mirror doesn't move AND, a smart enough manufacturer can build an hybrid viewfinder on top of it.

It would provide ability to switch from Optical to Electronic VF and/or add informations on top of optical VF like histogram etc. It would also let the user chose between phase detect AF and contrast AF.

IMO, the ideal compromise. The only problem it doesn't solve is bulk/wide angle designs. I know I'd buy one immediately.
