metz 45 cl-4 analog on k100d super

i have a metz45 cl-4 analog that i want to use with my k100d super ive found pc adapters online for pentax shoe mounts for around 13 bucks. basically i want to know before i start spending money on an adapter and possibly shorting out my camera will this work?

The voltage trigger of my Metz 45CL-4 is 17 V. I've been using it with my K10 and K7 without any problem so far. Noone can tell you if 17V is safe because Pentax warns you about high voltage but never says how high is high.

If you really want to play it safe, get an SCA3000C cable, and an SCA3701 or SCA3702 (I see them on eBay or from KEH once in a while). They work with hot shoe, have voltage about 5V, and have autofocus assist lamp.
