tropical cruise or the k5?

well just putting this out there... which would you choose and why?
I know the k5 wouldn't go over well but thought I would see what people would pick.

cheers!

K-5. She broker your camera right. Make her pay for both.

I would pick K-5, but mainly I'm not a cruise type-a-guy.

K-5 or Tropical Cruise?

Ditto. One of the most disappointing trips I've ever had, business or pleasure, was to the Bahamas (business). Second worst - Cancun (vacation, with a crazy GF).

I'm pretty sure I'd get more pleasure out of the K-5.

K-5. Then you'd be able to take nice photos on the cruise that you go on.

k-5, i think taking awesome photos is a lot more fun than sitting on a boat for a week.

I've cruised just once, a Carnival cruise (Long Beach CA - Puerto Vallarta - Mazatlan - Cabo San Lucas) that like totally sucked. Samuel Johnson defined sailing as, "Imprisonment, with chance of drowning". I define cruising as "Tedium, with certainty of overeating". Shore excursions to shoddy-souvenir tourist traps. Vapid on-board entertainments. All the joy you can expect from an overcrowded floating theme park. Possibility of food poisoning. Ick.

Buy the camera.

You already have my vote as if it really matters. None of us live with you so go with whatever makes Her happy. Happy wife, happy home, so I've heard (get the K5 and tell her how flattering the photos of her will be ).

I'd take the K5 on a little cruise.

Tropical cruise vs K5 ---- I'd take the K5

Alaskan cruise vs K5 ---- Hmmm, I'd really be torn on that one!

I did go on a cruise to Bermuda once and had a terrific time! But wow, wouldn't it be great to go to Bermuda (or a tropical place) with a K5?! LOL!

I vote both!

K-5 - should last 5+ years where a cruise lasts 1 week.

Ditto, cruise and save the marriage. Skip K-5 and get K-3 instead.
