APSC Equivilant length

Ok you guys are probably wondering what the hell I mean - I'll tell you something that has happened now I have a 35mm film camera.
Now I have never had a film SLR before so 35mm equivilency meant nothing to me.
However now I do when I put one of my lenses on I actually think the other way around!
I.e. I put my 70-200 on the MZ5 and I think to myself this will have the same angle of view as a 50-135 on my K7!
So basically to me wide is really 16-18mm rather than 24-28mm
Standard is 35mm rather than 50mm
And portrait tele is 50mm+ rather than 70mm+

So any other youngies rediscovering 35mm having a similar experience or am I nuts

(BTW this post is pretty tongue in cheek so no micro analysis of crop factors and FL PLEASE!)

your experience is very reasonable and understandable.

it could have been much simpler if we were using the actual angle of view in degrees, to depict just that

Nah that would be far too logical!
