Date & Time Resets *ist DL

I have had my *ist DL for almost 2 years. Recently, everytime I change the batteries and turn the camera back on it prompts me to set the date and time. In the past these settings were saved even if the batteries were out of the camera for some time. Is there anything I can do to keep these set?

I believe there is another small battery in the camera that keeps the clock/calender running, maybe this battery has died and needs replacing? Just a guess.

Thanks

I have looked online for information about another battery and have found nothing. I guess this is something I will have to take it to the camera shop to have replaced?

Thanks

Yep your "other" battery is flat.

Look in the owner's manual, bound to cover its replacement.

Yea I'd just head to a camera store or send pentax an email [ your local one ] after going through the manual.

Thanks

I appreciate the help. I have looked through the owners manual and since I didn't find anything there I will take it to the camera shop and have them take care of it for me.

thanks again
