Does anyone have landscape settings that they would like to share? Thanks, JOHN

I have a K-x, but I use these settings:

manual focus
~ f/8
2 sec delay (for MLU)

All these contribute towards creating the sharpest possible image with the lowest noise and the most DR.

There are no standard settings. Like for every shot, you choose the settings according to what you want to emphasize. Or, what twitch said...

The K-7 has Custom Settings for Landscape. Maybe someone has used this feature and could share their settings.

I found a post on Custom settings for Black and White and found their experience useful.

Sure, Learn to read the meter. I hate to sound snarky but unless you learn about what the camera is telling you you won't be able to tell the camera what you want. You can try and plug in a mode or setting all you like but until you learn a few basics about exposure, your photos are likely to suffer as a result.

Hmmm... I would like to share my common settings when taking landscape:

Make your mode to Manual,
Set to RAW,
Turn off SR,
ISO = 200 (100 is even better)
Aperture = f/13
Shutter Speed = that depends on the lighting situation of what you are shooting. Read you light meter as your guide, and if it's too dark lower your shutter speed, if it's too bright higher your shutter speed. Adjust it until you get what you want.

* And use a sturdy tripod to ensure sharpness.
