Mine says the Philippines. Is this where Pentax cameras are made? I purchased mine from Beach Camera Nov2007. Manufacture date shows 08-07-2007 w/ 190 actuations from factory.

I bought mine in January, and it's also made in the Philipines. How do you know how many shutter actuations?

The only technique I've seen for seeing the shutter count is by using a program that can list the exif data from an image.

Is there any way, ON THE CAMERA, to view the shutter count?

My K10D says Assembled in Philippines.

Exiftools tells me the manufacture date was 16 Feb 2007.

So do you subtract the actual shutter count from the one shown in the program to get the shutter count from the factory? if so, mine was fired almost 600 times, lol for example, looking at image 3990, shutter count in the program shows 4584 4584-3990 = 594

Looks like all K10D's and all GX-10's are assembled on the same factory in Philippines.
