HELP re: USING APERTURE RING info

Hey everybody: I'm seeing confusion from people trying to use manual lenses on their fine Pentax dSLRs. We tell them to set USING APERTURE RING to PERMITTED. But that isn't in the index of my K20D manual. It's buried at the end of the DEFAULT SETTINGS appendix, with a reference in the SHOOTING SETTINGS chapter, not exactly easy to find. New users can be especially perplexed by this. So I propose:

* That we build a list, per camera, of just WHERE the friggin' info is! What pages, etc.
* That we get Adam to edit the USING MANUAL LENSES sticky to include this list.

I'll start off:

K20D: See [C Custom Setting] Menu Setting Items, pp.73-75, and Notes on [36. Using Aperture Ring], p.251.

OK, let's see the references for all those K's and *ist's, hey? Thanks!

K-7: See [C Custom Setting] Menu, p. 289, and Notes on [37. Using Aperture Ring], p.294.

Most important section in page 294.

Might be better step by stepping through the camera menus ...
Info is not much help without a book, which not everyone has.

The current manuals, at least, are available in PDF from the various national and regional Pentax sites in a variety of languages.

Exactly. I downloaded them all, except for the 645D didn't work. If you have a 645D, you're on your own.
