No sane person will ask for a repair or exchange for 30sec exposure with only 1 hotpixel. Man my DS originally had 10+ hot pixels and came back with 10+ hotpixels at just different positions after Pentax Japan replaced the whole board. I know they did because the exif data shows a different set of serial datas. I just shoot RAW and forget about it.

That's exactly how the noise reduction in all Pentax dSLRs work!

Thank you! That makes a difference to me. I will use it when necessary. I'll study up some. I don't often use exposures that long, but with the new toy, ....
