Manual lens stuck on K-X, won't come off

Hello all,

I just received a Pentax SMC 50mm f1.7 lens and attached it to my Pentax K-X today. But when I try to press the button that loosens the lens to take it off, nothing happens. The button isn't as "springy" as usual and the lens won't budge.

In my excitement to attach the lens, I left the camera in AF mode ... could this have something to do with it?

Any suggestions would be great.

Nevermind, I got it. Sorry for the freakout.

maybe the lens hadnt fully seated in the mount, sometimes you need to twist the lens a little more forward or backward to have it click into lock. otherwise I was going to say no ricoh pins on pentax lenses....yet
