I don't have a KX but since my K200 has a sensor dust indicator, I assume a KX does too. It displays an image of exactly where the dust is on the LCD. Very handy compared to my K100, which has no such feature. I thought every camera since the K100 has had it (not sure about the K100super?)

If the blower doesn't work, you might try a brush next, before the wet cleaning. But use a brush intended for sensors, not just any old brush, and be careful not to contaminate it.

Built in k-x mechanism sensor dust detection\cleaning not so perfect. Some times ago I noticed on photos two gray elongated dots. Dust detector was not show anything wrong, but dark hairlines were visible on all shots, especially on blue sky or any monochrome surfaces. I have tried to use Dust Cleaning mechanism, but it does not help to fix both dots. When I lift up the mirror, I saw two hairlines, approx 1.5 mm each. Only manual sensor cleaning helped. Was used magnifying glass and thin stripe of pileless paper. Now all ok.

The blower came in today. Worked great. Do not see any spots on my pictures.
