Average battery life for the k-x?

I was wondering if I could get a general consensus of the k-x's battery life. For those using 1.01 or 1.02 firmware, what would be your average number of shots taken on a full charge? There's a lot of factors like built in flash, live view, raw, lens correction, playback, video, autofocus, and SDM versus screw. I'm assuming most people use eneloops... what would be the average shots taken for a set of AA's?

I wouldn't be able to give you the exact number of shots but my k-x can go for hours without turning it off and using it a lot...normally I get bored or my 8gb memory card gets full before my eneloops die

No on-board flash = 450 shots for Eneloops in RAW, no video, limited FPS, average reviews, very rare Live View.

Up to 700 with quality AA lithiums.

Use it as a DSLR and this what you should get.

I pretty much ascertain the same results as the guys above.
I think I hit more around 350 shots in RAW. Gotta say though, the camera tends to show 'close to out of battery' a lot sooner than when it will actually give out.

Around 500 shots or so (using Eneloop).
Probably more If you let your battery drain completely. I never did wait until that happened.
If I knew a lengthy session is coming, and have free time before, I change to a fresh set of batteries. So that I don't have to change it during a shoot.

The K-x has been around for quite a while and the topic of AA battery life was very frequent -
almost any search on K-x battery would return a huge amount - but to be more relevant -
try this thread:

How many shots can u get on K-x (RAW) on 1 set eneloop?

Or try this monster of a thread:

K-x owners: NiMH batteries results please ( 1 2 3 ... Last Page)

with probably what was an all time record by OutOfFocus
getting 2,600 shots using 2100mAh NiMH in Post #214
and his modest explanation in Post #246 .....

That is until stanic's report above in Post #32 of 2,800 shots! WoW!

+1 to UnknownVT's post. I bought the MAHA charger based on his recommendation and it is a great charger. So i would say get a good charger for the eneloop.

around 400 shots without flash, 1 sec photo review between each shot, with Non SDM/HSM lense.

I can go up to 750 if i disable photo review after each shot.

reviewing and erasing photos takes a big toll on battery life in my experience.
300-400 shots in raw using eneloops
seems forever (hah!) with a set of lithiums!

Over 850 shots with very little use of flash. Always set to 3 second preview, instantly zooming most of the time to check sharpness. Light meter operating mode set to 3 seconds. Power lamp set to low. Manual focus most of the time, because I use the great old MF lenses. With the kit lens and AF, it's over 750 shots. I use Eneloops of course, with the Sanyo Eneloop microprocessor charger.
Edit 1st October: Wow, just got over 1600 shots while continuous shooting the whole day and the battery indicator still shows orange. I will update, when I'll get the batteries discharged.
Edit 2: 1736 pictures.
