I have a question. I have a K10D and I just noticed that when I take pictures with a certain lens I have 2 bad pixels, but when I take pictures with any other lens I don't have them. What is the deal? The lens in question is a SMC 50mm f4 macro. All 4 of my other lenses don't do this. Why?

Thanks for the tip. I'll try it out when I have some stuck pixels showing.

According to Pentax reps I've corresponded with, there's no internal feature for mapping out hot pixels, so even if Canon has a secret feature for doing this (activated by going into Sensor Clean mode with the lens cap on), I doubt Pentax does.

Which part of the suggestion did you try and find works for you? The comments in the reply to the thread there indicate mixed results, which suggests to me that the originator of the idea just had a lucky coincidence and extrapolated a magic feature which unfortunately isn't there.
