ist DS - Changing Metering Mode

Is there a way to quickly switch metering modes without going into the menu?

I nearly always use spot metering and spot focus but from time to time I forget to hit the AE-L. I know it's possible to lock Focus spot and AE together but that too seems too binding.

Short answer NO. The more professional cameras, ist D, K10D, K20D, K-7 and K-5 all have a switch on the body to switch metering mode, focus points and AF-S to AF-C.

I find that I use these switches a lot on my ist D and K10D, and find the need to go into the menu on my DS to be very fructrating.

Regards
