Abe's of Maine 618.00 - 100 rebate = 518.00 plus they throw in a 1GB SD card for free as well as free shipping

(When you order they will call and try to sell you bunch of extras and try and tell you to get Sigma lenses instead of Pentax ones, just tell them its a replacement and you don't need extras)

I grabbed this deal last week, I now hold the camera in my hands.

Glad it worked out for you.

Personally, I'm still a bit leery of Abe's, and their rankings on resellerratings.com aren't helping their case:

On a scale of 1-10

Code:
Abe's 5.87

B+H 9.63

Adorama 8.94
These are ratings for a six-month period.

On the plus side, the six-month numbers for Abe's have come up (compared to the one-year numbers).

Unfortunately for Abe's, so have the ratings of the other two examples!

Could be worse; could be "Best Price Cameras" (a.k.a. enterprisephoto.com, infinitiphoto.com, and jandkcameras.com). Their rating is a dismal... 0.11 out of 10.
And dropping!

Disclaimer: I don't work for none of those guys, nor have I in the past.

buydig.com has it body only for $609 but if you really in the mood for some adventure Broadway Photo has it listed at $544 pre-rebate. If you do choose the Broadway Photo option kudos if you actually get your camera and kudos if you get a body that qualifies for the rebate. From what I read they tend to do a lot of grey market stuff and the warranty they offer is their own warranty as opposed to a Pentax manufacturer's warranty.

I've bought things from buydig previously and have not had a problem.

I just bought from buydig last night (body only plus FA 50 1.4) and got a fedex tracking # this morning. That's pretty goddamn fast.

I got it!

I ordered my K10D from Beachcamera.com for $609.00. Less the rebate that will be $509.00. In addition, as you can see from my signature below, I also picked up a couple of lenses Also a Sandisk 2 GB memory card.

I bought my k10D from buydig.com/beach camera there one and the same $609 for the body only with the $100 rebate that makes it $509, shipping was included. Should be here some time next week.

I wasnt going to wait until the end of the month for the new announcements and then 3 weeks to 2 months for them to get in stores, be reviewed etc. I found out a long time ago if you need to have the latest and greatest, you better win the lottery.

Making a short story long, I was going to trade my K100D in at the local camera store, which will give me 50% of the purchase price toward another purchase (in this case the K10D), but found that at the $509 from beach camera, for an additional $20 out of pocket, I could buy the K10D and keep the K100D (or sell it myself or whatever).

Beach camera apparently does not have the D-BG2 grip, so I bought it from B&H for $149 and an additional battery (D-L150) for $50.

All in the mail!

B&H Photo and Video has the K10D kit for $699.99, less $100 for rebate, it would be $599.99 with kit lens.

I read about some of the horror stories about a few of the retailers and just bought my K10D with the 18-55 lens kit for $645 after rebate from Adorama.com. I would be too nervous about dealing with the retailers aren't totally on the level.

B&H is back to $744.95 before rebate. Place it in your cart to see the savings.

On a Good Thing

You guys are on a good thing here with these prices. Please spare a thought for us 'down under' where the K10D is available in Australian online and brick & mortar stores from $1100 - $1200 body only. ...and no rebate.

The 'ol DS is still going strong.
Cheers
Grant
