Pentax Kx Vibration When Powering On

Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum. I recently got a Pentax Kx which I have fallen in love with. One question though...when I power it on, I am hearing this very brief vibrating noise which only lasts for about a second or so. It's almost like the noise you hear when you hit the "Dust Cleaning" function and get that shaking noise, but not nearly as long or not nearly as long. Can any other Kx owners tell me if this is normal?

Yes - that's the dust cleaning when you turn on the camera.

If it bugs you too much, you can turn it off through the Set-up 4 menu (see p285 of the manual)

Thanks for the heads up drugal! I experienced a "RICOH PIN" CONUNDRUM today and just wanted to make sure I didn't inadvertantly mess anything up...had a dog of a time getting that old ricoh style "KR" lens off of there...

LOL. It's a good way to learn about the Ricoh pin and old lenses. I bet you won't make that mistake again.
