Pentax eyelens/eyepiece

I am in a bit of a predicament and needing your opinions.

My (3rd hand) Pentax KM/K2000's viewfinder is blurry due to excessive cleaning of the viewfinder eyelens/eyepiece.

After searching on ebay I found this part for the K10 model and am wondering if it will fit on my unit:

Yes, two days ago and no reply yet.

It looks new and shiny, unlike my viewfinder.

Different viewfinder sizes; I'd be surprised if it fit.

Thanks Marc, I'll look for the exact replacement then.

By the way, in my frustration I tried the toothpaste method last night and it cleaned the eyelens to usable state. What I did was applied a small amount of paste on a cotton buds, then buffed the viewfinder applying light pressure;dip the tip in water whenever the paste dried.

A wet and dry tissue to dissolve and clean the mess.

(Note: It worked on me but I won't recommend this method but only for those hopeless :P)
