K200d Eye cap

The eye cap for my camera is looking tattered and torn, before I order a replacement, do you guys have any thoughts on wether I need one, or is there a better option?

I assume you mean the eye cup and not the viewfinder cap.

The eye cup helps keep the viewfinder clean and free of smudges. I'd recommend that you replace it.

You could also go for the magnifying eye cup instead:

Thanks Ole, I will certainly see whats available, it's a pity that you can't try these things before purchasing.
