Shutter count question

Thanks to the tool provided at Pentaxforums.com, I now know the shutter count of my K100D.

I'd be grateful for information if anyone knows whether there is an approximate count which should raise my concern about the likelihood of costly repair or need to replace the camera.

Thanks very much, and happy new year to all.

Most modern dSLRs are said to be bult for over 100,000 shutter counts.

Hope that the info may help...

It seems that the average shooter gets no where near to wearing out the shutter. In fact, almost all failures ive seen on these boards is a result of the sensor going bad. The good news then is that you wont likely need to replace the shutter. The bad news is the other parts of the camera fail more frequently so have a low shutter count means nothing for life remaining.
