You could also do the Joe McNally method and turn the camera over your left shoulder and use your left eye.

Good pointers!

I am reminded of the stances we adopted in competitive small-bore target shooting. The section on breathing is excellent, this is an area often overlooked. Another tip I've heard is to practice stance, breathing, etc, with a small mirror attached to the lens cap. Position yourself relative to a light source so that the mirror casts a "blip" onto a wall 15 feet or so away. You can really see the differences in stance, etc via the motion of that blasted blip!
