i just downgraded from K-x to K200D. well you guys are right, there are something about CCD sensor that CMOS cant compete

I briefly owned a K10D and really loved the images I got from it. Circumstances at the time forced me to sell it, but I'll get another, eventually. And it's easy to see why so many people are loyal to their "outdated" K200D - a unique package with great ergonomics & superb low-ISO sensor make it a winner.

Thee is no way you can prove that any differences you see are due to CMOS versus CCD, and indeed, there is almost no chance that this has anything to do with it. There are a zillion differences between these cameras; the type of technology use to count the photons entering it is going to be practically insignificant. That's like comparing two violins designed and built centuries apart and then concluding that any difference in the sound must be totally and completely attributable to the color of the varnish used on the tuning pegs.

I don't know about the technical stuff between sensors, but I really like the way the K200D renders images in low ISO shots!
