FWIW, while that *might* be true if absolutely all else is else, all else is never equal. CCD or no, the K-r is very clearly better than the K100D in low light, by almost a full stop. It's just newer technology and thus the beneficiary of several years' worth of advancement.. And as for video, good luck buying a DSLR without it these days.
