Possible problem with manual lens on KR

Same problem with me, but with KR and 50M2, when i try 50A1.4, it is fine.
The temporary solution is to switch between AV and M mode.
I talked to Pentax distributor but they cannot find the solution. Feel so bad, i mean, we keep buying pentax and now our old lens wont work.

???? The viewfinder image is *supposed* to get dim when you meter a manual lens - that's because it works by stopping down. it would only be a problem if the image *stayed* dark after metering, and indeed, that would likely be a lens problem, not a camera one.
