Hey All,
I'm using rechargeable CR-V3 (Li-ion) batteries for my K100D and I was wondering the approximate running time on the batteries. I was just looking through the manual and noticed that it is not recommended to use rechargeable batteries as they "may cause malfunctions due to their voltage characteristics." [p26]. Is there anything to this, or is it just Pentax covering their asses? I would very much rather continue using rechargeables, as I'm sure everyone is aware of how expensive batteries are. Thanks.
There are some rechargeable CR-V3 that works, other not. it's a voltage matter, the good ones have some voltage regulator inside them.
I don't think Pentax warranties eventual damages for wrong batteries. I'd use nimh AA batteries+backup for the same price/autonomy
