Um, why?

Rechargeable AAs work well. Eneloops have low self-discharge and give around 1000 shots. Being a standard format, it's easy to carry spares, or to switch to lithium AA if desired.

Haha, that's true. Darn you k-x. I wish pentax had some upgrade deals for the k-x to the k-r or something. Because batteries becomes a pretty big hassle. =/

??? What batteries are you using on your K-x?

Have you tried Sanyo Eneloops (or technically equivalents)?
