Interesting gp. I'll have to try that when I get my
k-r back from the shop. I use Lightroom for PP so that shouldn't be a problem.

What's the top LCD like? And what's different about the back screen?

the back screen is 2.7" @230,000 dots compared to the K-r's 3" @ 920,000 ... there's much resolution lost in the K200D's screen so it's best to look at the photos from a pc monitor

Thanks for the review. It helped a lot! I usually look at the pictures on the PC anyways. It said that the settings are shown on the top LCD and its not backlit. So are the settings. It shown on the back scree? That could be an issue if shooting at night.

LCD isn't backlit, but anything you really need to know is in the info line in the viewfinder.

Pressing the 'info' button on the back brings up detailed info on the LCD.

I really like the top LCD when shooting landscapes or macro on a tripod. Everything I need is right there.

Suffice to say, I really want a K200D with a new sensor to hit the market. It is a very uniquely specified camera.

Yes the top LCD is not illuminated. Hard to read in the dark. It does have a on/off button for SR, you don't have to dive into menus to turn it off.
Like grainbelt said "Suffice to say, I really want a K200D with a new sensor to hit the market. It is a very uniquely specified camera." I guess I'll have to settle for a K-5. That is the closest thing to a K200D with a new sensor.

If I could find that money tree my dad used to talk about when I was a kid, I'd have one.
