With the release of the K-01, and even the Q, and the GXR M-mountor, and the impending release of a GXR K-mountor, this thread should be re-titled:
HOW MANY DILCs DO YOU OWN? where DILC is of course Digital Interchangeable-Lens Camera. Otherwise we'll be counting APS-C MILCs as 1/2 a dSLR, small-sensor ILCs like Q and m4/3 as 1/4 a dSLR, etc. That's almost as problematic as counting deities. Do angels-demons-etc count as fractional deities? Do MILCs count as fractional dSLRs? Oooh, we need to evolve new theologies.
Then there are transitions. If I replace the fixed lens on a P&S with a C-mount, does it count as an ILC? (That project awaits me at my home base.) If I mount a digital P&S onto a Spotmatic's back so it captures the projected image, have I built a dSLR? (I might try that too.) If the Digital Film concept ever hits reality, do I count all my film SLRs as DSLRs?
OK, under the current definition of dSLR, I have just one, the trusty old K20D. I'm so deprived.
