Is this a good deal on a KX

I'm supposed to go pick up a bright blue KX for my wife today, It comes with 18-55 kit lens and 100-300 Tamron zoom. Also comes with a sling bag. The price is 485. I think it sounds good, just wanted a second opinion. Seller says its very lightly used.

I bought a like-new red K-x with kit lens for $300 yesterday. I don't know the value of the Tamron tele, but I think this is the going price for a K-x kit.

It sounds like a good deal, about average for the camera and lenses in black. I have seen better deals with two pentax lenses for the same price, but have also seen many sold in used condition for quite a bit more, don't know how well the Tamron lens compares to the pentax. You might want to look around here and on Ebay to see if you can find one with the 18-55mm and 55-300mm DA-L lens, for almost that price, some on Ebay completed for 500.00. The 55-300 is a really good lens, my guess is far better than Tamron. But either way it sounds good!

Thanks for the input! We went ahead with the purchase and I couldn't be happier. The camera looks and works like new. Only about 500 clicks on the shutter.
I'm very happy my wife has entered the dslr world with such a nice rig. I will have her post some pics soon.

Can't tell if it's a good deal but I would probably get the DA18-135 instead of 2 zooms for your wife.

Me. too!

I got my K-x and kit zoom as an end of line display model from our local Comet for 250. I'm a happy bunny, particularly as some hopefuls are still trying to sell them for 100 more on fleabay! I'd take issue with the advice to get the 18-135 as it's a big lump to carry around when, most of the time, you won't need the extra length.

The previous owner sure didn't shoot a lot... but congratulations on that purchase, it's a good one!
