Battery Grip Serial Number Location?

After listening to The Digital Story (great podcast by the way) for Tuesday I have been updating my records for all my equipment. Does the D-BG2 grip even have a serial number and, if so, where is it located. State Farm is always happier when there is a serial number to fill in on the screen.

I can't seem to find a serial number on my old screw mounts either. Do they have serial numbers and I am blind?

I've looked all over my D-BG2 and couldn't find any serial number
