Max card size for DS?

I'm about to wake my trusty DS out of it's slumber so that I can check it out to see if it's OK for use. I'm considering using it for some travel shooting, mostly because of it's small size; thinking of going back to the old film mentality and using it with just one lens. Took a quick look at the Pentax web site to verify what the last firmware update was (V2.02), but can't determine what the max capacity/type of SDHC card that it will use is. Also, am I correct in assuming that loading the last update also loads all of the ones preceding it? It's been a while since I've needed to do this.

Loading the latest update does include all the previous updates - yes.

The database says that the istDS will take "SDHC with firmware upgrade" - hope that helps.

It supports SDHC which means at least 32GB. Not sure about SDXC.
