All else being relatively equal, I'll take the 25% larger pixels of the 22MP sensor

I'd do the D800e (36MP, weak/no AA fitler) and downsample when needed given all we currently know :-)
We still need to see REAL high ISO shots of the D800. Studio shots w/ lots of light at high ISO is a stupid comparison...it's like running high ISO in sunlight but we need high ISO indoors in crappy conditions and bad lighting where the camera will underexpose all the time. We need to see how much noise is in the shadows and whether it can do the black cat out of a black underexposed frame trick...

Full frame all the way. I am using a 10.1mp K10D and it's fine. I will trade megapixel for a FF any day.
