newby qusetion

hi
new to my k100d so this may be a simple qustion: when i take a pic and then enlarge it on the view finder screen can i save the enlarged image as a pic? If i take a pic of a bird from a distance and enlarge it I would like to save that changed image . hope im clear on the issue \trucker bill

Nope, the LCD just shows you part of the image so that you can check it out in more detail. In post processing you can crop the image to your vision. When you bring it into your computer, the program you use should allow you to crop the image to what you want.

thanks that was the conclusion i was comming to but I sometimes miss the tec stuff in the manual will just have to photo shop pics, even so it sure is handy to be able to check the detail on a shot right away

Well, enlarging a photo on screen is like cropping it. You certainly CAN open the photo in your photo editing software, CROP it, and save the cropped image.

For example, say you photograph your daughter playing in the yard, with more of the yard around her than you would like. Open the image in your processing software and crop out the yard. You'll end up with a nice tight shot of the kid -- without all that messy background.
