Change Photo Copyright info on a K7

I just bought a barely used K7 and want to change the photographer name and copyright info to my own. The previous owner's info is in the camera and i cannot figure out how to change it. User manual tells how to put it in initially, but not how to erase and begin again.
Has anyone run up against this? I'm usually tech savy, but maybe my brain is just not functioning correctly today!
Any help would be appreciated.

Follow the instructions on the manual to enter it for the first time. On step #4 (Enter the text) the original text will be displayed. The instructions to edit are on the screen. Use the "trash can" button to erase the text one character at a time. Once all gone, enter your name. Use the back scroll wheel to position the cursor anywhere if you mistype.
