AAGGHH - I'm going crazy!

Earlier this afternoon on this or "the other" forum, I saw (I KNOW I saw) a link to get Bibble's Version 5.0 Beta, which - according to the post - supports the K10D. I thought I'd try it, but when I looked for the post (even searching), I simply couldn't find it.

Did I dream this? Anyone else see it? I guess Jager was right: it is a drag getting older!

Thanks,

Jer

Merry Christmas Jerry!

No, you're not going crazy! The link Peted posted is it. It just disappeared rather quickly. I've been using the Beta version since yesterday and haven't had any problems with it so far. It fits just like an old, comfortable glove. I'm so GLAD to have BibblePro back again!! I've been busily processing and re-processing pictures all night and today that I've not been happy with from the photolab conversion.

Oh, but if you downloaded it before yesterday you might want to download it again. They fixed a problem with the Noise Ninja. Make sure the date when it launches is Dec 25.

Questions, Questions!!!!!

Hi Photo_Mom,

Hope you can answer a few questions for me. Just downloaded the beta and am amazed. This looks like the best converter I've tried. It even opens my DNG files and that is where I am confused. I thought they didn't support DNG. What is going on here? Tried to open a tiff file but it won't read that so I guess it will only work with raw files, right?

Do you use it exclusively or do you use Photoshop for some things after you convert from Biddle? How soon will the beta expire?

Thanks for your help.
Ken
OK, so I jumped the gun and didn't read the whole post at Biddle. YES!! Native DNG from the K10 is supported by them. Looks like I've found my RAW converter!!!!!

That is only a test version. Official one released next week or something. I cannot wait to test it out. I love bibble pro!

I do personally think raw format produces sharper and more colourful macro photos.

I used photoshop after raw conversion in bibble

Thanks everyone . . . .

. . . . . for the replies and the links. Gee - I thought I was going nuts there for a while.

I've never used Bibble (always the free version of RSE with my DS2), but I everything I hear about it is good. Photolab 3 works well enough, but the interface is wierd - at least to me.

Thanks again,

Jer

Thanks for the heads up. I never knew this existed so I just downloaded it.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but I like how the Bibble team acknowledged the K10D. Straight from the link posted by Peted:

"Added support for Pentax K10D (What a nice cam!)..pef and native DNG"

Should make some Nikon and Canon owners green with envy.
