jealousy plays a big part with that. it's not an accident. since you mentioned that you've neglected k200d i bet you it's a suicide. let this be a lesson to everyone. no matter how good your new camera is, please don't neglect your oldie....

Should have passed him along to a poor student just getting started in photography who would have loved him dearly... So sad that he felt the need to jump but neglect and feelings of abandonment are strong...

Another theory: It's possible that this K200D had some insider knowledge, and didn't like the direction Pentax-Ricoh was heading, and decided to end it all. It is hard, after all, to watch a loved one destroy themselves.

It might just be resting, rather than passed on, snuffed it, carked and gone to meet it maker, an ex camera ?
