Any possibilities of Pentax partnering with Sony for AF?

Do you see any possibilities of Pentax stop further development on AF (a weak area of Pentax) and instead partnering with third party companies for AF, say Sony ?

Just wondering!!!

I thought that sony's AF was good due to the translucent mirror? I could be wrong on that but I am not entirely sold on the translucent mirror idea just yet, and (as a result) would rather see that not coming to pentax.

Pentax has weak AF? Always seems blazing fast to the lenses/bodies I've seen elsewhere...Sure the SWM in some lenses dies, but that's a symptom of the tech in general(See: Canon 28-135 IS USM)

In regards to partnering with Sony, that doesn't work really, as they're direct competitors currently.

Maybe a partnership with Samsung again though? They have a lot of facilities which could easily produce micro-motors for lenses.

Latest news is that K3 will be manual focus with split prism viewfinder. It will also only take M42 screwmount lenses.

Lies! It shoots a new lens series, called PEF(Pentax-Electro-Focus), which will make you get rid of all your old glass, and you can't adapt it due to it having a 2.5mm longer registration distance on the lens. Also, it will no longer have in body stabilization, so you have to pay for stabilized glass.
