Eneloops

A few months back there was a thread about Eneloops and I was scepticle about them thinking disposable batteries was just as viable. But anyway, I purchased 3 sets on sale for $10.00 a set because you guys said it was the best thing to do. Well I've recently returned from a week in Florida, took about 900 photos with my K200d and never changed the Eneloops once!

So that covers the box of Costco batteries I would have used, not too mention the lost shots as the batteries run out.

So thanks again.

Yes, they are the best. I was one of those like you, using Energizer rechargeables and Energizer Lithium, it took some convincing by numerous members, and finally I bought two sets. Never been happier.

I almost never have to charge mine in the K200D

I just give them a quick top up before I go away on a holiday somewhere (and top up the spare set just in case)

Not often in this age that a product that looks so similar can be so superior to the competition. Really feels good spending money on something that works well, and exceeds all expectations.

There are also plenty of other brands now that make low self discharge cells. I don't have Eneloops, but I have Enelongs and Tenergy Centuras. Both are fantastic and are cheap on ebay.

And that's just one week. Over the next few years, those $10 Eneloops could easily save you *hundreds* in what you would have paid for disposables. Not to mention keeping that much toxic chemicals out of landfills, and giving you faster AF and more reliable camera operation besides. Why anyone would even dream of wasting their time and money on alkaline batteries is beyond my comprehension.

I posted in the price watch that my local Costco is now carrying Eneloops pack of 10 for $20.00

Not sure if that applies to all locations.

I got to check out my Costco. I have been skeptical about getting some for my K-r AA adapter, but If they are as good as people say, then i should have some as back up.

I've had mine for two years, and they are still going strong. Marc Sabatella is who finally convinced me I should buy a set....now I need another one set to go with my new AF360FG\Z, I ordered today.

As a happy owner of about 24 Eneloops, including 8 black XX ones, and a 8 pack of the glitter ones too, I'd like to join this Eneloop love parade.

Great reliable batteries, excellent for flash too.

Why would you even buy the AA adapter if not to be able to use Eneloops? Seems pretty pointless otherwise.

I actually just recently got the adapter. It's still new in the box haha. I haven't even used it yet. Got 3 LI-on anyway, so haven't yet needed to use it either.
