sample JPEG, Bright mode

Hi Clevo,

Here's a sample JPEG shot. Shot handheld in Bright Mode, using AF540 flash. Taken at F/11, 1/180 sec., ISO 100... outdoors in sunny conditions.

This image is very sharp at 100%, and the only degradation is from the subject blurring the shot (it's feet just a little bit), since swallowtails are VERY active.

Cheers,
Marc

Thanks Christine! This image is in the Pentax Photo Gallery. I was very fortunate to pick up the last one at Pentax Canada in July of 2006, which was approx. 2 years after they ceased production of this lens in 2004. There were none available in the US.

It's the very rare FA* 200/4 macro, which has amazing clarity. Perhaps 900 units were made, all in Japan. Here's the information on it in the lens review database:

Cheers,
Marc

Thanks, Marc! I'd read the FA* 200 Macro report just last night, in fact! I've never seen one in the shops I frequent here in Seattle, though...hey, Pentax, how's about another production run on this great piece of glass?
