If you download PK_Tether you should be able to. It uses your usb cord I believe. You can also use the HDMI cable to view the video output directly.

Adam is right: Goto PK_Tether | Tethering and remote control software for Pentax DSLR cameras to get a copy of the program (freeware) and yes, it is the USB cable supplied with your K-5 that you will need.

A few pitfalls/hints:
  • Do not use PK_Tether together with liveview.
  • Turn off the top LCD display (can be done in Custom Settings)
  • Be prepared that there are certain things that don't work totally flawless yet (such as interval shooting)
  • Images will be saved to your PC - but not to your SD card.
But for remote control, instant viewing and saving to your PC, the program works just fine with the K-5.

antoruiz did not state that s/he wanted to view the results immediately. Perhaps yes, perhaps no. If no, the lowest technology way is to simply turn off the camera, remove the memory card, insert the memory card into your computer's reader (most laptops have a suitable reader built-in), and look at the photos with an appropriate image application.

Aside from PKTether, don't forget there is also PKTriggercord. It's open source, has a GUI version as well as a command line version, is available for Windows, as well as Linux, and is regularly maintained. pktriggercord-0.77.10 is the latest version.
