$ 200 each month!

Since we are all talking about this new upcoming Full Frame camera, it is maybe also time to think over how we are going to purchase that new baby. It will for most of us here going to be the most expensive purchase from Pentax, so making plans is a good idea. The longer you wait, the more expensive you are going to think it is. If you put $200 in a jar each month you will have enough savings for the purchase in march 2013.

Nope but i should have been putting $200 a month away for another strobe and a decent tripod.

Then maybe a K-5 successor or maybe a K-5, maybe should have been $300 /month

I don't save my pennies in advance ,here is how I do it . I've learnt to Buy Cameras / equipment on Layby , I pay a Deposit . the camera store orders what I'm after , I then have a set amount of time to pay for it. I don't get to take it home Unit it's paid for. that's how I purchase .

I won't be saving, because I already put money away for it - years ago.
I will be buying one on the first day it is available.
If there was a store I could wait in line at - to get one - then I would do that too.

I put money aside every month for photography, eventually some will go to the FF, If I can just stop buying other stuff

Anvh, we all no you are anti FF and we need lenses for FF, but guess what many of us have bought most of our lenses with an eye to FF.
I've been buying that way since my ds and only have 3 DA lenses 1 of which is acceptable on FF (DA35 2.4) 1 WR Kit and my DA14.the other 20 or so are all FF lenses

Haha, yeah I wish I could afford to stash even £50 a month away. I'm basically gonna be broke for the next three years anyway, so hopefully Pentax will have something tasty for me to grab once I finish my apprenticeship.

I hear aeronautical engineering is a good field to get in to Not to brag but I feel very proud of myself for getting on this scheme. It's the flagship Airbus apprenticeship and it's apparently the best engineering apprenticeship in the country in terms of investment and content and all that. Plus I get a second shot at a degree, albeit an honorary one.

But yeah, I won't be saving for this for a long time. I need money to buy porridge oats.

Congrats, sounds like a good program. you've got some pretty decent kit already and FF will still be there in three years (Hell we may still be talking about one coming then given the history )

I don't think I'll quite manage 200, but I'll definitely be putting some aside between now and then...

I've been stashing money away since I got my K-5 in November 2010. Only thing is, I will wait at least 3 - 6 months after the fabled FF or K-5 Super is released so that production can settle down and little bugs are ironed out
