If you get a preproduction , you probably have to sign some kind of confdential agrement that set what you can do or post with th camera

K-30 won't be out until next month.
I just checked and it is available here in Japan on the 29th of June. I have a K5 but I am still tempted because it is said to have improved focusing.

Does anyone know if when in LV mode does it become the equivalent of a mirror less camera ie similar to the K01 or will it be much slower to focus?

That's why there is no comment posted anywhere about its IQ or performance (other than specs on paper), yet But I've seen and taken plenty of photos w/ the preproduction units, and I'd say it again, I don't mind having a K-30 instead of a K-5. The only thing I'd miss is the much longer battery life of K5. But I'd get the Energizer Lithium AA for the K-30 that's for sure.

Or the rechargeable (and cheap) lithium CR-V3s that work great in the older pentax DSLRs...

CR-V3 will not fit in the D-BH109 AA battery adapter for the K-r and K-30.

Maybe my post wasn't obvious enough. Was a continuation to this

They are the best of all worlds for the older cameras. Last a very long time, cheap, rechargeable - yet can't be used with the newer cameras. Progress
