Used the K5 for a number of 20 minute exposures the other night and doesn't seem to be a problem. Regularly do 5 minute with the K5 using astro tracking and no problems that I have noticed. It would be a warning in the manual if it was. The only problem with the K20D that we found is the noise reduction means that for each exposure there is that longer wait for it to write the file. With the K5 I can turn all noise reduction off and it writes immediately meaning onto the next shot.
