Cannot stand the Canon rear e-dial! Most unnatural position to have the thumb while my eye is in the viewfinder!

I didn't feel that the T2i was that terrible in build quality - my friend has it. However, he considers the T3i to be horrible plasticky, so...

I don't much care for the dial when I have my eye on the viewfinder but when cruising through menus and photos, it's kind of nice. I've always liked the joystick as well.

LOL. A 70-200/2.8 is *NOT* a "proper wildlife lens" as others have said.
A proper wildlife lens is in the 500-600mm/4 range and because of that is pretty heavy and costly ($3-6K+). The 70-200/2.8 is lightweight in comparison

You can make do w/ a Bigma (Sigma 50-500) but if you're going to the trouble of doing wildlife properly w/ Canikon, you should start working out and emptying your bank account

p.s., FF makes a *worse* wildlife body than APS-C because of the "free" magnification of APS-C (really mapping optical view to pixels)...
I know the only lens he had was the 70-200 so that's what I used. I shoot with a DA*300 and will buy a 500 or larger soon after prentax comes out with the 560.
